Haiku 49

Haiku 49

Bunions, bladder, bowels -
The B's of an aged country -
Olds' pleasure, their care.

Mind, memory, muse -
The casting couch for good life,
Lifts Man above beasts.

Grant me a clear mind,
Lungs accepting air, sleep, rest -
A partner who cares.

Medicine through pills,
Dispensed by the clock, tick tock -
Small but so potent.

Colors come alive -
Fall's cooler, draws flowers burst
Forth in vivid hues.

The wee Humming Bird
Darts, flits among bright flowers -
Her wings feverish.
